Larisa attended the Odessa Civil Engineering Academy (Ukraine), earning her BS and MS. When she began her professional career, she worked on a spectrum of Soviet projects and later owned and managed a real estate firm, Reva Realty, in the ’90s. Shortly after immigrating into the US in 1998, Larisa worked at the Port Authority of NY-NJ on exciting projects like the Lincoln and Holland tunnels and the JFK and LaGuardia airports. She has been a proud member of the MRCE (Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers) team for over 20 years, working on the United Nations Building, the World Trade Center, the Hoover Dam Dubai World Islands, and hundreds of other prestigious projects around the world. Her projects have kept her inspired to work while surviving three cancers in the past 17 years.

She is in the process of publishing a children’s book with a collection of short stories that are partially inspired by her own life and which will serve as lessons to future generations. She is an animal lover and a creative problem solver.
